Spoilt for choice - Which puzzle is the right one for me?
Especially now in the time of the pandemic, jigsaw puzzles are trendier than ever. But what do I have to consider when choosing the right puzzle?
Choosing the right motif
Especially as a beginner, it is important to choose the right motif. It's best to choose a colorful motif that you really like! This is the only way to keep you motivated and have fun with your puzzle success. Pro tip: The latest trend in the puzzle world is monochrome motifs. A completely black one is particularly difficult and challenging.
Make room
Choose a place where you can do your puzzle undisturbed. The best place for this is a large, free surface, such as the floor. Alternatively, you can also clear a table.
Sort correctly
Before you can really get started, it is recommended to roughly sort individual puzzle pieces. For starters, it's best to put out the edge pieces, once you have solved this, you can sort individual parts, for example, by color. Often a color belongs together (light blue = sky).
Use box
What's more annoying than when a puzzle piece is missing and you can't complete your puzzle? To avoid this, use the bottom and lid of the box to sort the puzzle pieces or store them during a break.
Light spots first
Start with the parts of the puzzle that are easy for you. This way you stay motivated and build up a kind of "basic framework" between which you can master difficult parts more easily.
In the team
If you can't get the puzzle right, get help from another person. Together you might find the right place for the missing puzzle pieces. Besides, doing the puzzle together and laughing is fun!
